IBM needed to have a video explaining how their Watson technology helps in the treatment of cancer patients. This video was needed not only to show doctors and others in the field, but recently diagnosed patients in a delicate state. My role was to create a calming, gentle video assuring patients that they are in safe hands while explaining how IBM can help.
Due to the sensitive nature of this video, character design and emotion was paid special attention to. It was also imperative to relate this to a SE Asian market, making them feel reflected in the care being given. A number of characters were sketched and the client drove which direction to take.
